We love working at Horton Plaza Park because their event team understands what it means to produce large-scale events. They have a seasoned staff dedicated to helping navigate clients through the event process from permitting to production. This level of customer sersnake-oil-cocktail-company-logovice coupled with the centrality of their Downtown location, efficient curbside loading, and fantastic venue amenities make Horton Plaza Park an unparalleled option for any event looking to make a splash in the San Diego community.

“Horton Plaza Park is a testament to what our community can do when we work together to make Downtown San Diego a better place to live, work and spend time.  The urban plaza serves as an iconic gathering place for all San Diegans, and the Downtown San Diego Partnership is proud to partner with Horton Plaza Park to bring Sounds of Summer, our free pop-up concert series, to our city’s core.”

– Lisa Koerschgen, Placemaking Manager, Downtown San Diego Partnership

“As a TTeam Hansour Producer, facilitating Events in new & different locations can be a nerve-wracking task, especially when there is uncertainty surrounding the location, and/or local event staff.

Recently, as part of the #under35potus Campaign for the Captain Morgan Hijack Tour, we permitted & executed a FLAWLESS event at Horton Plaza Park. Flawless is rare, but our event was, due in large part to the efficiency, preparedness & helpfulness of the Event Crew, led by Julie Montgomery.

THANK YOU. I am recommending HPP to my colleagues & do hope a future route takes me through again. Best of Luck on all future events!”

“With the grand opening of the Horton Plaza Park drawing near, we, at Spike Africa’s Fresh Fish Grill and Bar, are brimming with excitement. Three years ago we saw the potential of this space, across the street from a former central hub of downtown, again made a gathering place for all walks of life. With a variety of events, from farmers markets to live music shows, we look forward to hosting the perfect pre-event dinner or after-show nightcap for locals and tourists alike. Spike’s is honored to be a part of our thriving San Diego culture, capped off by this long awaited spectacular renovation!

I have been eagerly anticipating the Grand Opening and Rebirth of the Historic Horton Plaza Park since before 2013 when I signed the lease for AD Restaurant and Event Center. With every delay my excitement and anticipation has grown, not just for the incredible boost it will give the businesses in the surrounding area, but also for the historical significance and overall impact the Plaza will have on the Gaslamp and San Diego as a whole. The Horton Plaza Park will truly be a world class urban space and will add to our national recognition along with our famous weather, beaches and laid back attitude. In particular I am excited for the plaza to become a gathering place for concerts, farmers markets and movies in the Park. Being a downtown resident, I can’t wait to bring my 2 year old daughter to the Park. I have eagerly awaited the Park to open before my daughter was born and I can not wait to share it with her now that it is finally about to open. The Horton Plaza Park is a game changer for the Gaslamp and San Diego, and it is about to open directly across the street from AD. As you can imagine, I couldn’t be more grateful or excited.”
