Visit us regularly to take part in the fun!
Is the interactive water feature located in the Amphitheater open to the public? Can guests play in the water?
Yes and yes! The interactive water feature is open to the public and visitors of all ages are encourage to enjoy it. Showers are located adjacent to the interactive water feature for rinsing off before and after use. Don’t forget your beach towel to dry off! Please note that the interactive water feature may not be in operation on certain dates or at certain times due to event use or weather concerns.
Can I bring my dog to Horton Plaza Park?
Dogs are allowed to visit Horton Plaza Park but must be on a leash at all times. Please be sure to clean up after your pet as we offer dog waste stations throughout the Park.
Are there public restrooms located at Horton Plaza Park?
Yes. Restrooms are located near the South Pavilion in the lower portion of the Amphitheater across from the interactive water feature.

Who is the artist of the mural in Horton Plaza Park?
Kelsey Montague created the 45-foot-high, 131-foot-long depiction of the upside-down San Diego skyline and a flutter of dragon flies. This whimsical street artist is known for her #whatliftsyou angel wing movement. Visitors are encouraged to take photos and pose with each interactive piece located on the Bradley Building.
What items are prohibited in the park??
The following is prohibited in Horton Plaza Park; glass containers, smoking, littering (including pet waste), overnight sleeping, camping or parking, loud music, unleashed animals, and loitering to include congregating or engaging in activity that hinders the flow of traffic, or obstructs entryways or walkways. Loitering in the park outside of the posted hours of operation is also prohibited. Unauthorized solicitation, outside alcoholic beverages without a special event permit, public intoxication, indecent conduct or any riotous, boisterous or threatening behavior, narcotics or illegal drugs, bathing in fountains, damage to plants or property, weapons, firearms (including replicas) or any object that can be used or construed as a weapon, firecrackers or explosives, fires, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, segways, hover boards, remotely controlled devices and other similar devices, the sale of any goods or merchandise without written consent of the City, and groups of fifty or more people, except with a special event permit, are prohibited.
